Ox Cart

Ox Cart

During my mission trip to southern Nepal, I witnessed firsthand the resilience and simplicity of life that sustains so many families in this beautiful region. One moment that deeply impacted me was seeing a local farmer guiding his oxen-driven cart, piled high with sacks of harvested crops. The bright Nepali sun beat down as he worked with quiet determination, embodying the unspoken strength and perseverance of the people here. Farming in this area remains largely dependent on traditional methods, where hard labor, a deep connection to the land, and reliance on animals are still essential to daily life.

Our ministry there was in conjunction with Babu Babu Varghese and the Nepal Evangelical Seminary (NES) in Hetauda. Together, we served and encouraged local pastors, church leaders, and believers who are faithfully working to spread the Gospel in this challenging yet rewarding mission field. NES is equipping a new generation of leaders who are passionate about reaching their communities for Christ, and it was a privilege to witness their commitment and vision firsthand.

This experience not only deepened my appreciation for the people of Nepal but also stirred in me a greater sense of gratitude for the blessings and opportunities I often take for granted. It reminded me that the Gospel advances through the faithful work of ordinary men and women who give their all for the sake of Christ’s kingdom.
